Fungi in my lobelia!

Greetings, and HELP!
Although a PBS program about fungi would captivate me, I'm not a huge fan of fungi, unless they're lovely little crimini in my risotto, white in my pasta sauce or sauteed and spooned over my filet mignon. Sorry to be such a wimp, but up-close-and-personal with fungi? NOT my thing. That's why I almost ...well, I was very surprised, indeed, when I found several BRIGHT yellow fungi in my long/5"-wide lobelia container. The ones just coming through the soil look like little tubes, and the large ones are about 2" high and are about an inch wide with tall caps. Frankly --perhaps because a) I have never seen this fungi before, and b) I didn't expect to see them-- I panicked. I have not touched them (and probably won't, unless someone can give me a good reason why); and I'm on the verge of chucking the entire container --flowers, dirt, new occupants, everything-- into the garbage.
Has anyone ever seen a fungi like this and/or know what the heck to do about it? MANY many thanks in advance for any help offered! (Yes, I'm freaking out a little; so feel free to give me a reason to calm down.) :o)
