Tree to plant in narrow side yard

| We just moved into a subdivision where the homes are close together. I would like some help as to what kind of fast growing trees to plant for privacy & low water usage. Also, that their roots would not disturb the foundation as the property line gives us about 6 feet of area to grow in. |

For a narrow yard of about 6 feets only, i would suggest some fruit trees like Guava or mangoes. Pear tree is also good as it has thin roots which never affect the foundation of your building. These trees also require less water than other usual trees. |
