I grow a few of the normal species most hobbyist think of as bonsai, but probably have more fun with succulents. This Hummel's Sunset found a new home this weekend.

Hi Shane, thanks.

Tips? I don't know. As much sun as possible and don't be afraid to wire. Just keep it a little loose to allow growth.

Did a little pruning and wiring on another one yesterday.

Here's a little bigger one I've been playing with.
The trunk is about 3" in diameter at the base.

was hoping to see them to, Ive said it befor but i love seeing your work. In one of your older pics(id have to try and find it again) I think of a ficus, there is a pot in the back ground that the base of a trunk is showing and apears to be about 6-8" in diameter, what is it?

Shane

Don't really have any bonsai with trunks like that, but I do grow Adeniums. It might have been one of those.

Noticed the photos are back.

The Salicifolia Trunk Chop posting is the one with a large trunk in the back ground. How many trees do you have? Do you have more photos?
That is a great looking Jade you have really good foresite

Shane

That is a ponytail palm.

I lost all of my nice trees Jan 2002 when a mechanical failure froze everything in my greenhouse, so I really don't have any bonsai. I prefer to style and train my own material, so it's a slow rebuilding process:-).

I have a lot of plants, but only a couple hundred are destined to be worked on as bonsai.
