Unfortunately it sounds like your plants are dead. Evergreens by nature should be, well, green. Any foliage that is brittle and falls from the branch when touched or lightly tugged is dead and any branch that is bare from fallen needles is dead.

Forget about all the dishonest crap some sellers have up on the web. Junipers are simply outdoor plants. Look in the landscapes around where you live. More than likely you will find junipers. If junipers were indoor plants why aren't they with the tropicals when you visit a greenhouse? Why are they usually outside with the other "outdoor" plants? Nuff said.

Well that is too bad. Thanks for your resoponce. I don't think they are dead yet. They still have parts that are a healthy green. I guess I will keep trying. It is way to cold in NY now to have them out side or I would consider it. Do you think repoting them or feeding them might help. I see a lot of stuff like that for sale. Thanks again Krystal

Proper watering will get you through the winter just where they are.

To add my cents worth, I would say that you should hold on to the plant, keep it where it is and put it outside as soon as the chance of frost in your area is gone. Sometimes Juniper does this in winter. Although they are needle trees they do require some "down time".

I hate to break it to you, but if parts are brown now, likely it is already dead. Still, place it outdoors just in case. depending on the type of juniper it will be able to stand temperatures at least below zero if not 20 below. Junipers will not survive indoors for extended periods and should be indoors for no more than a week or so. Others with more experience with junipers will be able to offer you more help.

I kept one alive in a cool garage with minimal light and just keeping the soil slightly moist then in spring put it outside and now it's in the ground.
