Trunk Chopped Ficus

This is a Golden Gate I really liked the lower trunk on. It's about 4' tall in a 3 gallon pot.

It's a little shorter now. I'll let the new apex go for another couple years and probably trunk chop it shorter than I did this time.

Got to thinking it will be hard to creat any taper unless I cut it back a little shorter and then make my next chop a little above that.

do you realize you prob cant afford to make any more changes like that for a bit haha, the day befor that tree was 4' tall now its a 6" stump with a twig. I cant wait to see what it ends up as in the years to come though!!! like all others of yours ive seen i no ill be stunned!

This tree should be safe from the pruners for another couple years :-).

The nicest part of this ficus is the nebari that is still covered with soil.
