Brian's old rose

If you get really, really lucky, you find this in your back yard. After almost 50 years of looking at it in the ground! I dug it up and was shocked at what i saw in the way of a trunk. And after over 35 years of work in bonsai at the same yard. And to think it was there all the time! Just waiting to be potted up. Wow!

I guess i should have said miniature rose. and the date is wrong, (the defalt) it should be 5-21-2006 or there abouts.

I think everyone else is jealous. That is the prettiest bonsai I've seen here and to think you found it! I love to "find" plants like that. I work in a very old neighborhood and often take a walk (with a pair of scissors) at lunch. It's amazing what beautiful flowering plants can be found growing on commerical sites. I always ask of course! Congratulations on your find. It's absolutely beautiful.

Thats amazing. I'm jealous! Can you describe how you found it in more detail? Was it growing almost wholly underground and you happened to dig it up to reveal its trunk?
