Japanese Maple Bonsai HELP!....please :)

Hi guys...thanks for clicking

so last week on my birthday ..i received this gorgeous japanese maple bonsai as a gift.. It is a 3 Acer palmatum 'Atro-Purpureum' bonsai....and thats the only thing i know about it.... ive been researching but i'd appreciate if you had any tips , tricks , and advice to keep my plant healthy and thriving... THANKS!!

I would recommend doing as much research as possible. You can look up some info through bonsai websites or simply googling info. You local library can be a excellent source of books to get some great info, that's how I learned most of my fundamentals and guidelines as a beginner.
