Trumpet Vine Bonsai

This is a complete experiment: I found this trumpet vine a couple years ago with this cool looking deadwood and decided to keep it in a pot. Today, I trimmed up the foliage, cleaned off the soil, trimmed up the rooots, put it in bonsai soil, and did some wiring. I have no idea if this will turn out well, but just thought I'd share. Let me know what you think!

cool! I like what you've done - recognizing the great proto-shari - but trumpet vines have an insatiable urge to take over the world.
How is it doing, now, 6 months later?

It unfortunately perished. =( I think I just worked with this at the wrong time (in the middle of the summer). Luckily, it was just an experiment. I just can't seem to be able to keep my trees alive, I just can't do it haha! I say that because recently I trunk-chopped my bald cypress and.... well, I'll let you read about that in the link I attached. I was really hoping this would work out, though; maybe I'll have luck next time.

Here is a link that might be useful: Bald Cypress Trunk Chop
