Hello. I'm fairly new to the bonsai community; about 4 months ago, I received a 35 year old bonsai as a gift and therefore do not know the name of this bonsai specimen. I water it two times a day. I primarily kept it in the living room where it gets plenty of indirect sunshine but over the course of the last two months I have noticed that the leaves were browning. I also noticed that it was under attack by aphids. I amputated all the branches that had these little critters and got that problem under control. However, now about 75% of the leaves are brown. I have since moved it out to the patio. I live in Southern California and its not too cold, not to humid, I don't live near the beach. Please help me. I would forever be plagued with guilt if this 35 year-old bonsai died under the care of this newbie's hands. Your input and diagnoses are very much appreciated. Please reference pictures.
