nandina domestica bonsai experiences

I came across this plant this fall when hunting bamboo. It was offered for digging even knowing it was not bamboo. So I transplanted it. Now knowing it can be used for bonsai and not liking where I put it I think I will dig it up and put into training boxes. Does any one have particular experience, pictures, etcetera? Internet searching comes up with alot for sale but most pictures are small or undeveloped. I did read about pictures of an extremely old exposed root specimen but of course did not find the pictures. Just looking for ideas of what can be done so I'm not wasting my time. I hear the stuff is quite resilient but re-branches irregularly and might be tough to style.
