I carved the rock to guide the roots.roots should grow out of some holes. Its Coral Limestone.

I don't have to babysit this plant . The humidity is in the 90s

I can't help you with your thread graft question. But I would like to know how you get the soil to stick along the sides of the rock without it washing off.

I like what you have done with your plant.

Ive seen a technique where the whole thing is immersed in a pot of moist sand for a year, that way It'll be kept moist and the roots will grow nicely.

I'm sure you'll get the advice you need. I just want to comment that it is great to memorialize people important to you.
