| Hey, I am wondering if it is to late to Air layer a Japanese Maple, I in in Australia & it is Mid summer. I wasn't sure if it would be to late to do as there might not be enough time for sufficient healthy roots to form before winter. Any help would be good. our average temp here are Winter about 10 degree's centigrade & Summer 28 deg centigrade. Sorry I'm not good with Fahrenheit. I was hoping to have it ready for next spring to cut & re-pot. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers all. Ryan |

| i would suggest against startin aproject like that in mid summer. the best time to start anything like that is spring that way your tree has the best possible opportunity to adapt before winter. however if your season change this year is similar to ours here in the states i would say you have a chance. it is your plant though and if you want to try it best of luck to you. |
