| I bought a Fukien Tea bonsai two months ago. The leaves weren't bright green and showed a slight yellow. I bought this bonsai bc the shape was so unique and beautiful and thought it would revive. The seller said it was because of the weather, and that it would green up soon. Well, the poor thing has just kept losing its leaves. I had to cut some of the smaller dead twigs off since they were obviously dead (crispy branches, scratch test showed no green...). The tree is about 35 years old.
The dead branches are gray and the knuckles turn black. Can someone help me stop this? What is causing this? |

| That's like asking a doctor to diagnose symptoms, but giving zero history as to anything else :-). Is the tree kept inside or out, what's the temperature like, is it in full sun, or a dark corner, watered how and how often, and what kind of soil mix is it in? Are there pebbles glued to the top of the soil surface? Is the tree getting any humidity outside of whatever is in the air? Help us to help you! |

| Even knowing nothing about your particular plant, the very first thing I would do is be suspicious of and check carefully for scale. Are any of the leaves covered with a sticky substance? Al |
