During the night

Hello everyone, I'm new at taking care of bonsai, and I recently bought a 5 year old chinese elm.
My question is, is it okay to leave it outside during the night, or should I bring it indoors and then put it outside again in the morning?

Where do you live - it matters a lot.

Hey, Portugal!
I think most places in Portugal are warm enough for your elm to live outside, where it should be. (Lucy will correct me, if I'm wrong on that). The only thing to consider is the size of the container, would could potentially expose the elm's root-ball to cold temperatures.

Unless your winter night temperatures go below 20 Fahr., your tree will be fine outside for life.
