Can a fiscus ginseng be planted in transparent pot?

Ok this is a strange question but would a transparent bowl damage to roots of my fiscus ginseng? I've had mine for a little under a year and the pot it came in was too small. So I thought about using this, creating drainage holes in the bottom first obviously , when I come to repot it. But would the sunlight that goes through the coloured plastic be harmful to my plant? I've been finding it difficult to find an appropriately sized pot, so this is one of many silly ideas. I just wondered if it was possible. Thank you for reading.
