Hmmm - do you think you'll get very different answers here than on the other forum(s) :-)? I'd keep it cool til Feb., then move it, as it's too late, regardless of growth, to go into dormancy anyway, and you're right, it would only confuse it! But get it back outside the second you're very sure the last frost has passed in your area. Then leave it there for life.

I don't expect different answers...I just wanted an answer lol. The new growth and the question of where now to keep it has been unanswered on other forums despite a couple of days waiting.

The cool room it shall stay in then :) It is north west facing, I trust this won't be an issue? Or should I move it somewhere with better light?

When you say move it in feb, where do you mean to?

To a somewhat warmer place. You haven't actually said how cool its current place is, or how warm the other one is, so it's actually kind of hard to say what you should do. Certainly more light as spring goes on is a good idea, but so are air circulation and humidity.

It is currently in around 50F-60F in a north facing room. Its the coolest room I have without it going in the freezing garage lol. The other room is where I keep all my other plants in winter, which is south facing and between 70F and 75F with a humidifier and a small fan.

Just leave it where it is until it's safe to go out then, but if you move it, it should be ok too - not much difference to the tree.
