New Olive Bonsai

Hi All,

Just wanted to share a photo of my new Dwarf Olive Bonsai. It stands at 5" in height.

I'm shooting for it to become a nice large sumo olive like I saw at Meehan's (second picture). I'll repot into a larger pot this summer to start the growth process. Maybe in 30 or 40 years it'll reach the large sumo size!

Meehan's awesome olive bonsai. Sorry the picture isn't more clear.

Very nice but I don't think you have to wait 30 years. You will be able to work on in in about 4 to 5 years.

Really? I've heard dwarf olives are sooooo slow to grow into a tree of decent size. I suppose it depends upon the conditions though. I'd like to think I have a pretty decent setup, but we'll see in a few years.
