I've used Pond Baskets and collindars. Same principal. Yes they do work well.

( .3 gal equiv. ) roughly a quart. i'm experimenting with austrailian brush cherries,thier known for putting out a strong tap root w/ very little lateral growth.

What types of soils are people using in their training pots? would it be the same mix you would use in a traditional bonsai pot?
