Kind of cute!! I have it's big brother in my back courtyard and am constantly yanking out seedlings, maybe i'll let a few grow on and see what happens. BTW: yaslan, they seem to be scale magnets as well as attracting wooly aphids, the big one gets covered with it. I've used a mix of 2 tbs of Ivory soap in a quart of water as a spray, seems to do a good job.
Hi Jason, I mean the plain old Ivory dish soap, I have been using it for years however, now that I'm here I have to have a few 'mules' pack it over when they do a 360 to the states.
As long as you treat through the life cycle of the pest it has always done a good job and I've never had it do damage to anything but the pest. Yes, I know, it sounds too simple to work but it does.
I've used that ratio for a number of years, on both field and bench trees with no problem at all. However, I did begin with a lower amount and worked my way up. While I'm not a tree-hugger it's a pretty natural product, even milder than the Safer brand. It also has the advantage of being it's own 'spreader-sticker' for application.
