Sure, you can do just about anything you'd find in Nature with a Live Oak. It's just a matter of time.
I don't have any pictures, nor do I have a Live Oak, but I have looked at images online. I think the low,
sprawling look of a field Live Oak could be accomplished by weighing down the branches (perhaps tying
them to the edges of the container) and wiring them.

HiHi, and thanks Josh (greenman28), I am hoping that this is "exactly" how this "branching of my live oak seedling" could be accomplished.This is a very young seedling and I have been wondering and asking questions that may be sooooo silly to the expert bonsai enthusiasts, but......I am looking for the "perfect growlight" that is the most economical for a bonsai and it's special needs to grow your leaves,branches and root system, but for the most part, bonsai are to be "left outside" to fend in the elements as they are outdoor trees.Does anyone grow their bonsai indoors during winter months with a growlight and what type light are you using to get optimum growth? Or as the experts advise....leave outside to get tough and get actual sunlight and let nature take care of the lighting? Any advice will be GREATLY APPRECIATED !!! : )
