Rosebush bonsai?

Hi,can I make a rosebush into a bonsai?and how does it reproduce?

    When you say 'reproduce', do you mean continue growing as any other single plant would, or are you considering having more than one in a pot? A bit confusing as bonsai are generally grown as individuals, though of course you can have many of those in their own pots. Roses need to live outdoors for life to be able to go dormant in fall and winter. People have done rose bonsai (outdoors in pots), but they can be a bit difficult because of growth habits. You might want to look at the forum here for roses to learn more about that. I'm still a bit curious about the reproduction question. If you mean how are they fertilized (as e.g. holly must be by other hollies), it's not a problem in bonsai.

    Roses will make a rustic trunk with time. Mini roses will form a tree-like trunk and are easier to maintain.
