Hello,
I am going to do some collecting in the spring, I'm in Ohio (Cincy). What species are good native trees here to collect? My list so far includes Willow (not weeping) not sure exact name? Black Locust, and Honeysuckle. Are there others i'm missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Anyone planning the same or with land with to collect on i'm interested. Thanks

RE: Collecting in Ohio

That's a little too general of a question and there are way too many species to name. I would say it would be safe to say, anything that's growing wild that will lend itself to being collected in the first place will work (as far a species wise). Keep in mind that sometimes (and usually most of the time when concerning anything actually wort time) the tree being collected can take two to three years to safely collect if not longer. Depending on its location health, root mass etc...
