I just recived a japanese red maple bonsai. it was covered in a plastic for shipping so i removed the plastic and let it sit outside. After a few days it was giving a few more leaves but then kind of slowed down and just died, i thought it would regrow new leaves but no. I let it sit outside a few more days just to be sure but it was just dead for sure. It always had water but never dried out, i don't know if it was probably too hot, since i live in florida, which is why i kept it under an umbrella, does anyone know why, so i can prevent it from happing again? Please help?

You are trying to do something that is extremely difficult. Trying to grow a deciduous tree that comes from a climate where it gets a long winter with snow in zone 10 won't really work well even for experienced growers. You're best off growing tropicals.

It should have gone into shade, with only relatively infrequent watering (when more than just the top layer was dry).
