| I just recived a japanese red maple bonsai. it was covered in a plastic for shipping so i removed the plastic and let it sit outside. After a few days it was giving a few more leaves but then kind of slowed down and just died, i thought it would regrow new leaves but no. I let it sit outside a few more days just to be sure but it was just dead for sure. It always had water but never dried out, i don't know if it was probably too hot, since i live in florida, which is why i kept it under an umbrella, does anyone know why, so i can prevent it from happing again? Please help? |

| You are trying to do something that is extremely difficult. Trying to grow a deciduous tree that comes from a climate where it gets a long winter with snow in zone 10 won't really work well even for experienced growers. You're best off growing tropicals. randy |

| It should have gone into shade, with only relatively infrequent watering (when more than just the top layer was dry). |
