PRUNE! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PRUNE! Be sure to cut with sharp scissors just barely above the knuckles. White crap will come out. Leave it there. Then re pot in something wider not deeper. Lightly fertilize and youll have more new shoots than youll know what to do with. I use that schults 10-15-10 concentrate in a spray bottle. Thats what i did to mine and it freaking exploded. I have to watch the new growth n clip off nubs about once a week because it keeps trying to grow new whips out of the ends of the old ones.

RE: Got this on sale. What now?

Now is not the optimal time to be re-potting or pruning, unless you're in a warm region.
For the fastest recovery, best to wait until late Spring/early Summer to re-pot.

A helpful tip for all. No plant uses more phosphorous than nitrogen, so there is never
really an appropriate time to use a 10-15-10 fertilizer. Plants use 6 times more nitrogen
than phosphorous on average, which means that the middle number in your fertilizer should
be the lowest.

Hello!
The fertilizer numbers are NPK = Nitrogen, Phosphorous, and Potassium.
These are the major or macro nutrients. However, plants also need the minor or micro nutrients.
