Juniper Bonsai leaves are dry

Posted by hdbrill (My Page) on

Hi, I just got a bonsai (my first) in October. I watered it everyday and fertilized regularly. Just recently, I have noticed that all the leaves are dry and brittle when I prune. If you touch them, they just fall off! My bonsai is a juniper and 4 years old. It is in a low light location. Any solutions? Thanks so much.

Sorry to say but if the needles are dry all over the juniper it's not going to get any older. The person who sold it to you should have given you some information about care and you should have probably either contacted your local Bonsai Society or at least Googled 'Juniper care' to get some ideas.
