These trees along with two others were stolen from my patio
on march 22. I have been working on them for 20 years. these pics are from last year so they are a little more pruned and trained now but the roots and the rocks which I collected 30 years ago are unmistakeable . I am hoping of course that they will turn up for sale somewhere and someone will help me get them back . It breaks your heart.

sorry to hear about your loss, Im sure its like loosing a close friend. Some dug up my prize plumeria right out of my front yard awhile I was away on vacation and I was devastated.

might I suggest trying your hand at chilli bonsai? I grew out a bolivian rainbow plant last year that I pruned into a bonsai, though its not doing as well as I would have hoped. Best of luck to you, I hope someone returns them.

Thanks and sorry for your loss as well. Several days ago the two trees in the pictures were returned in the night to my back door. Unfortunately the barberry was dead and the boxwood was yellowed and dropping leaves. It may survive. I can only guess the thief tried to keep them indoors. They were dry like they had not ever been watered. I keep hoping the rest of the trees are returned befor they die too. I have grown chillis in containers that lasted for several years but it is a struggle to keep them alive thru northern winters indoors. Aphids are the worst problem. They do take on a bonsai look very quickly. Tabasco pepper was the hardiest. Wish i had a greenhouse

That is so sad. I've had heirloom plants stolen from my yard, and it is like losing a pet. People are desperate nowdays, with the economy, and will steal anything they want and can't afford or think they can sell.

If you have a Craigslist in your area, post the pics in the lost and found and in farm and garden there. Someone may see them and let you know.
