Fertilizer

I am using a "cat litter, orchid, grit" soil. I have about 100 pre bonsai plants in ttraining. Now comes the crunch! Some are evergreen, some are deciduice, and others are a mixture. When it comes to adding fertiliser to the plants... Problems!! I don't have sufficient space to segregate all of the acid loving from the "not acid" loving in my greenhouse.

OK. what do I do. Acid/neutral fertilizer or just use a standard fertilizer?

Do I use a suplement, of some sort on the acid loving plants, or what?

Then I have quite a lot of flowering pre bonsai, which aparantly need a different type of fertilizer...

and on it goes... a tad confusing?? well I am, for one.

I use Foliage Pro 9-3-6 for all of my plants, regardless of type - from tomatoes to conifers, succulents to citrus, oaks, maples, and everything in between.

In containers, pH isn't as important as it is in-ground. If you want to acidify the pH of your fertigating solution, test your water, then add white vinegar until the pH is somewhere between 5.2 and 5.8 - then, simply add the same volume of vinegar to a gallon of water/solution when you water/fertilize. Vinegar is short-lived, but this helps plants take up nutrients in the target range.
