Where to find Ficus these days?

Posted by bliorg 6/7 (My Page) on

Back in the day, decent sized, inexpensive Ficus benjamina were easy to find. Now I'm teaching my kids about bonsai, and would really like to let them experiment on a Ficus. But we can't find any. Anywhere. Nada.

Any ideas where they can be found these days?!

Thanks,
Scott

It may just not yet be the season, though dedicated nurseries with indoor depts. should have some. Try supermarkets of course, but maybe just not yet.

That's the thing - don't want "ficus bonsai" - want the indoor houseplants that I used to get at Meijer's for ten bucks. I'll do m'own bonsai on it. ;-)

Grocery store's a good idea - thanks for that.
