If you can post a picture in the gallery of this forum (see small print header) and leave a note in THIS forum to say you've done so, we can look, or else post it using Photobucket or something similar. Otherwise, how good are you at describing... if it has leaves, vs needles, are leaves ? size (compared to a quarter or something), are they round, pointy ovals, long and narrow, tiny, are edges serrated or scalloped, etc? Are needles 1/4": long or 2" long? Are there any flowers? Is the trunk woody (yet)? Smooth or rough? DON'T describe any particular curves that were probably trained into it though by the growers as it won't help at all!

RE: what bonsai do I have

I went and bought a bonsai tree yesterday, not knowing it takes so much time and care to help it grow into a finished tree. I have been online all night trying to learn as much information about the art but don't know what kind of tree I have. It has pointy oval leaves that are serrated on the ends. The points look to be 1/4". The trunk is rough. It stands about 7". I have enclosed a picture of it. I want to to learn as much about my tree before I make any changes to it.

Any help or additional information you can give to help me maintain my tree would be greatly appreciated.
