If they're using steel wire and in the humidity I imagine you have there, doesn't it all get rusty fast? Weird! I also wouldn't have thought of growing boxwood there, but you've got a very nice specimen (even if it does need the refinement you talked about). I love the Ficus! Just beautiful, though I'd like to see another angle as that one's hard to get trunk definition from.

Most of the steel wire has a pretty good nickel content so it takes a while to rust, still hard to bend or cut. The Boxwood is growing like a weed, I cut back over 70% of the root ball to get it in that tub and it's filled it with new roots in 4 months. The problem is finding a decent pot for it.

The Ficus is pretty small yet. I may post another pic or 2 but there isn't much for movement right now. All of the new foliage is coming in about half sized so it's doing well for reduction. I had the pot and just bought it on a whim--something to play with.
