| Hi.... I am fairly new to gardening in general, and very new to the world of bonsai. I would like to grow a juniper outside as a bonsai, but does that mean digging it up to prune the roots? And even though junipers are hardy in my zone are they still as hardy when they are kept as bonsai specimens?
Thanks! |

| If you just want to leave it in the ground there's no need to dig it up. The roots are pruned when bonsai trees are potted so they don't get 'root bound'. Have fun! |
