Almost two weeks ago, I did a trunk chop and major root chop on my bald cypress that I had been growing out for two years. It was healthy, I feel like I did it when I should have (it was early spring, new growth was coming out), and everything seems to have gone how I've heard everyone else say it's supposed to. But the foliage soon after began to dry out and die, and although I'm at college right now and it's at home, I hear that no new growth has yet come out (but then again, I doubt they're looking at it very closely). Should new growth be coming out by now? Or have I killed 2 years of growing and a chunk of hope? Thanks for any responses!

It would have been best if you'd chopped/root pruned before buds were moving. Al

It may not come back out. Cypress usually die if their foliage is all cut off. Down here in FL, if we want to kill one, we just chop all the limbs off, and the plant dies.
