Hi, i'm Dan and i recently purchased a bonsai but i haven't got a clue what it is! On the label it just says 'bonsai mix'.
I have left a web link for you, if anyone knows please tell me so i can research how to take proper care for it.

Hi, your picture needs a closer look at leaves and branch structure to be sure, so if you could try again it would help. I could guess now, but not specify definitively.

I think it is a willow leaf fig (ficus). I am not certain though. Do a yahoo or google search for willow leaf ficus bonsai in images and compare it close up. It's hard to tell from the picture.

Dan, it also looks a wee bit like mine I posted about today, though obviously much more mature. Some of the leaves on mine are long like that - could yours be Serissa too?

I don't really know what it is but I don't think it is a willow leaf fig. I looked it up and it didn't look like it. Try another plant.

Try a search for Eugenia myrtifolia (aka Syzygium paniculatum - common name 'brush cherry') & see if that's your plant.

Look at some more willow leaf figs. I'm pretty sure that's what you have there. I'd put money on it if I were a betting man.

This is an image of a young willow leaf ficus. It looks a lot alike, but it is hard to tell if the leaf sets match.

Here is a link that might be useful: This a picure of a young willow leaf

Watcha Dan,
looks like tree of a thousand stars: Serrisa foetida, does it have, or has it had, many, small white flowers; when you scratch the root bark or clip a branch, does it stink? if so, then it is a Serrisa, hence the the Latin, foetida -foetid. When you transplant it, you will need bottom heat. With bottom heat they strike very easily from cuttings.
best
Mick
