| Hello! I would like to try a bonsai. I basically have no knowledge of this art form, so I am looking for good online references to do some research before I start. I would prefer not to purchase books and such...so good, free online references and any advice you may have would be greatly appreciated. Are there any specimens that are easier for beginners? Thank you! |

The absolute best way to learn though is hands-on, watching and asking, and I strongly suggest you attend some club mtgs... such as - Mountaineer Bonsai Society. Meetings are held on the third Thursday of every month at 7 PM in the Evansdale Greenhouse Division of Plant and Soil Sciences, West Virginia University. | Yes, but at least call them, and learn what you can ... maybe online from them. Maybe they'll have workshops in other parts of the state on certain occasions. |
