Is my bonsai tree ok?

I've had this bonsai tree for over a year now and its always been pretty healthy. It's never been dry or over watered. But just recently the trunk is turning/looking very black. Is it ok or is there something I should be doing to help it? I will post more picts after this post. Thanks in advance!
