Too much moss on cedar

Where I live, moss grows on anything that stands still for more than 5 minutes. I have a bonsai'd blue atlas cedar with a lot of moss growing on the branches. To the point where the moss is obscuring the branching pattern, such as it is. I like moss on trees, but this seems a bit much. I know I can't get rid of the moss, but do you all think I should try trimming it back, or just leave it alone and resign myself to a bonsai of arboreal moss?
