Well....the deal about bonsai is that they do require a comittment to provide the necessary level of care. If you are not prepared to provide the care then the answer to the question, "Does my situation sound okay for bonsai" is no. Just how much time and effort you are willing to give your bonsai is a question only you can answer. Junipers are indeed an outdoor plant. They need sunshine, fresh aire, water (daily), fertilizing and if they get sick or on the menu for insects you have to deal with that as well.

There are species of plants that can be used as indoor bonsai but they also reguire the same comittment of care. And the awfull truth is that even though some plants will survive indoors they will almost inveriably do better outside in a protected area.

There are some good, inexpensive books on bonsai and you can also find a wealth of information on the net (with a little looking) about plant care, for whatever species.

Do a little research and arm yourself with a bit more information and you will be better able to decide if bonsai are right for you.
