Verburnum Opulus, Snowball bush, as a bonsai?

My neighbor let me dig this Snowball bush up from her back yard; it has been going horizontal to the ground for many years, as a result it developed a lot of Nebari. I like the character of the bush. It's starting to bloom, it blooms kind of like a hydrangea the flowers start off small and green and when they reach size turn whichever color they are. I think this one is white. I pruned it back to make it easier to move, so I thought I'd build a planted with some wood I have then let it be for awhile before I hard pruned it. It has some little suckers coming up at the base, so not exactly sure how I'm going to go about this, so I thought I'd post a picture and see if anyone here had some ideas.
