Bonsai seed shells not popping of new leaves

Hi everyone,

I was just starting a japanese black pine bonsai tree from seed. the kit advised me to keep a cover over the seeds until the leaves have opened, but they have yet to have the seed shells shed from the new leaves and are now tall enough to knock the cover open caused the new stems to bend? Is that how its supposed to be or is that wrong. Any advise would be greatly appreiciated!!

Take the cover off. They should have said at the sign of the very first leaves, and left it at that. Congrats BTW!
