We have had this tree for 3 or 4 years and are hoping that we can do something to cheer it up as it has started to look quite sad. It has only a few leaves and has some growths that look like cotton bud tips (brown colour).

Until recently it was well and had plenty leaves and white flowers. We may have caused this problem by potting using some standard compost. We have just repotted using some proper bonsai potting soil but it still looks poorly.
