Is this fruit?

The little decrepid Pomegranate I rescued a while back is blooming and now one bud looks different than the rest. It does not have the fluffy centre and a bulb like thing between flower & stem, Not as brite color either. Wud that be fruit. After I got it home cut back & fertilized it it's just amazed me.
