Hi...First of all, I'm not sure which tree you're referring to as being on the shelf... do you mean the one at the bottom beside the flat of little ones, or one beside the Juniper on top, or ??

And if the tree you're asking re bonsai is the Juniper, your question is too vague because (you may not realize it of course) you need to know a lot.... it's not a houseplant and won't respond well to just being watered at some interval... Go to www.bonsai4me.com and look up J. procumbens nana for a more general, basic idea, but there is still a lot more to it....and btw, your tree belongs outdoors for life, won't do well inside at all.

My question wasnt vague. Other forums answered. The first tree on the BONSAI shelf. It was confirmed this plant was a green island ficus. I've asked many people if I could keep it indoors and they said yes as long as I give the tree its needs.

The tree's major 'need' is to live outdoors for many reasons. If you choose to listen to many people rather than advice of people who've been doing bonsai for years, wy bother to come here at all?

I would definitely agree with Larke and get that thing outside as soon as possible for as long as possible, at least all summer.
