My grandmother bought me a bonsai tree because she knew I had been wanting one for awhile. She had him for maybe 2 weeks(At most) before I was able to bring him home. She had him in a window where he was getting morning sun, so that's where I put him. His leaves started turning yellow and I panicked quite a bit until a friend told me I had overwatered him and if I left him be and tried to water him better, he'd be fine. Well I've left him alone and he's lost most of his leaves now. I've only had him for over a week personally. I read up and heard they could go into shock from being moved and I'm wondering what I could do. Here are some pictures of the day I got him and some I took this morning:

Do you think he's in shock or is it really watering problem? He has quite a few new looking leaves that seem to be coming in as well as 2 buds that look like they may turn into flowers. Also any help on identifying his type would also be appreciated.
