 o
help with hawaiian umbrella plant

I have had a bonsai lava plant (a hawaiian umbrella plant in a lava rock) for about 3 weeks now. At first it was doing good but now all the stems are limp. They are still green but none of them have any life to them. I have looked at many sites but still have not found any help. I have watered it about 7 times (I live in TN) now but I am still a little unsure about the best place for it and exactly what kind of light is best but right now I just need someone to help me get it on the right path to healing. Any suggestions would greatly help as I really want this plant to live. Thanks

Tons of light, and only water when it starts to look a bit tired again (after it's recovered from its present soggy state). Look up Schefflera arboricola to find answers.
