| All the seeds planted last fall sprouted. I have 3 flats of 6 and 1 bonsai pot with 11 seedlings. They range from 2" to 9" tall. They have been in the semi-shade until the leaves started to get to big and they are know in the sun.
They look health but the trunks look green and watery like herbacious plant trunks. They have only been fed a weak solution of fish fertilizer. How do you get the trunks to harden off? It may be early but I'm worried about the over wintering of trees with weak trunks. This was also posted under maples Paul |

| Plant them in the ground in a sheltered area that gets at least filtered light. They'll get a lot stronger there. |
