| It looks like one of the ascomycete fungi in the Erysiphales order which cause powdery mildew. The plant needs good air circulation in an area where humidity is low and sunshine. Clean up all debris surrounding the pot - especially fallen leaves from the plant. Go easier on the N, if you were trying to push growth. If it makes it, some prophylactic treatments with a systemic fungicide is a good idea. Something with Tebuconazole will work well, primarily as a preventive measure, but it may also work as a fixative, if your plant has enough energy to push a new flush of growth and regain some strength before the leaves fall. You can find Tebuconazole over the counter in Bayer Advanced Disease Control for Roses or in their 3-in-1 product for Insect, Disease, and Mite Control. Don't get mixed up and get the 3-in-1 product that has fertilizer as 1 of the 3 ingredients. Al |

| all leaves are gone. this early, does it have a chance to make it over the winter? thanks. |
|
| Yes, it has a fair chance. I'd bury in, pot-n-all, in the ground in an open sunny area & treat it 3 times with a fungicide at 2 week intervals, making sure the underside of the leaves also get coverage & let Mother Nature take over for the most part. You'll need to keep it from drying out, though. |
