No way to know without a species name or a picture.

Some plants are monoecious, others are dioecious.

I have a Ponytail Palm in my back yard that I love. A friend of mine was given a bonsai ponytail palm for her birthday. I have never seen one before...it was awesome! Does anyone know how to grow one?

The web site just has downloads. Can any one just tell me? I'll get a picture on here when I can.

The only way I know how to tell is to wait until it produces seeds. If it does produce seeds, it's a female. If it doesn't produce seeds or produces flower looking things, it's a male.
