In need of assistance.

I am not new to gardening although the art of creating a bonsai with character is an all new subject to me. I want to make a bonsai out of a pepper plant with the long scraggly thick roots creeping down a rock..what are the basics? Any pointers? Good ground over? Rocks or like a moss? All help is appreciated.. Sorry for being such a newbie!

I can't give you a 3 step lesson here, but suggest you try places like Bonsai4me.com, and/or as many noncommercial sites as possible, using keywords like root-over-rock planting, etc.
