I have had in interest in Bonsai for quite some time now and I grabbed a cutting of some Juniper growing locally. I was ground layering itself(to my advantage) so it already has decent roots.

This is it in the pot I got for it today($5 couldnt pass it up)

Good luck to you! If you pay your dues and learn what it takes to keep your trees healthy for the long term, you'll find bonsai deeply rewarding to the individual.

Make sure it's well-secured, so it doesn't move in relation to the pot. This will fractionalize the amount of time it takes to establish in it's new digs. Looks like a natural semi-cascade, but still young enough that you can take it in any direction you want ..... except maybe formal upright. ;-)

Have fun!

Thanks!

I havent secured it with wire or anything and its actually pretty tight in there. I know its not a cascade yet but I know thats what it will be in the coming years :P
