Hey everyone. Picked up a Chinese Elm yesterday at Lowes to see if I could do anything with it. Maybe experiment a little and all that. I changed it to bonsai soil and found some great Nebari that was hidden. My question is, I want to do a trunk chop. I'm pretty sure now is not the time to do that, correct? And that I should wait until the beginning of spring? Anyway, I want to chop this tree at about the red line. But I also am considering chopping at the blue line instead. Or could I just air layer a little lower? Thanks!
